Very cool MG. If you can find one that shows the sick and twisted Meteor bushings on the front of the spring that would be the first step in making a mold for some Polyurethane replacements for the big one. Very likely can find a cross for the small one in front in the old books.

Here's the pic, I have a 1962 Meteor/Fairlane factory manual and the 1963 supplement. ....It's a pretty mushy type of suspension, typical of Mercury in those days.

You could just replace that rubber block with a chunk of aluminum. Mill it with the mighty die grinder and a cutting bit with the big flutes. Or even cut some out of a chunk of big rig rubber and a hot knife or hot wire.

The rubber block is ok, the bushings just look kinda mushy. ...I might install a fairlane setup if it will fit.
