Another cool 4dr.
What are those, 18" wheels?
Lube up those hood hinges before they get "sprung" anymore. They may be able to adjust out the slight rise at the back you have now.

Oh that is a really really nice meteor. The interior is exactly like our 62 and is in good shape.
Cant wait to see the new paint job.
Nice car.

i was wondering if you could tell me what kind of motor it is i looked all over the block but didnt see anything all i know its a 8 cylinder my mechanic say he thinks its a 260 can some one tell me if thats what it is.
as far as the tire rub goes i have a lift kit on it now wich gave it a 2 1/2 inch lift i had to beat the wheel wells in with a air hammer (looks good to my suprise)and had to weld metal brackets to the spring housing now theres no rub at all i wanted to keep it original but then i got the idea of old school meets new school plans to install audio and video system will keep yall posted

As far as I can tell, it's a small block Ford but I can't tell much more from the pics. Sorry.

NOt if the intake has been changed. I bought a 66 mustang and used the 4 barrel intake from it on my old Meteor, Aire checked the numbers and they did not match up with the mustang.
The mustang was a one owner fromt he little old lady up the street too.
Ford used what ever parts they had laying around for anything they needed parts on. Just look at the lower arms on the Meteors I have seen three different styles.

The casting numbers are on the bottom of the engine block above the starter.
