Well after ordering the kit Late January and paying for it I just today finally got a refund. Apparantely there is no kit, John has been leading me on for at least 2 mnths of weekly calls. I thank god I got most of money back not quite a true refund considering all the phone calls and the exchange rate and the 50.00 off the top from Pay Pal. If anyone here on the board can use some helpful advice I would recommend a bigger shop/company to deal with.

I am exploring options: Fatman Fabrications, or possibly build my own.

what exactly are you guys trying to achieve with these kits. Anyone got a link to this type of kit. I'd like to see a pic of what you guys want to do. I'm currently thinking about this right here for my car. www.rcmotorsports.net/Pg4Link.html

This link from the Fatman Fabrication site explains why it is not a good idea to put that kind of front suspension on the early Fairlanes and Meteors. Fatman has probably sold as many Mustang II front end kits than anyone, so if they say "don't do it", that gets my attention!

i read thru that whole thing. I dont' know about that.
What do you like most about it.
I don't like the new steering column idea. I'd like to keep my original.
I'd also like to keep my same ride height that I have now
One more thing. Will it allow you to run a rear-sump pan. I need a kit that will eliminate the shock towers so I can run a nice set of headers and it must be important that I will be able to run a rear sump oil pan

I need a kit that will eliminate the shock towers so I can run a nice set of headers and it must be important that I will be able to run a rear sump oil pan. The Fatman kit, unfortunately, won't accomodate a rear-sump pan. One thing I like is the added crossmember for the rack, and the fact that the weight goes through the shock towers, as designed. This has been previously discussed (okay, argued) on a couple of other threads, I believe. I hear you on the ride height. I'm actually fine, right where I am. My exhaust will scrape going over speed bumps if I go any lower. I talked to the tech guy at Fatman several times. You can use the stock steering column. However, it makes it harder to get from the end of the column to the rack without using excessive U-Joint angles. Lastly, the article in the current Fairlaner magazine states that you can trim the shock towers for header clearance with the Fatman kit. I am thinking of getting the shock tower kit from RRS.

Hmmmm looks like that kit wouldn't be for me.
I need a bunch of clearane with the motor I have for headers. I also need a rear-sump pan.

my 1' bar with the custom anti harsh removal is badass sorry i havent posted much on it as far as results but i find that I can no longer drive it normal because i feel like im driving something that handles like a honda. Only think I wuda rather done is go with a 1' drop spindle and cut the spring 1 coil rather than done 2 coils off the spring. I cant imagine how solig it would feel with and IRS and good tires. I am running 215 70 series and it still handles pretty good.
