can I swap the ball styled shifter mechanism in the 65 fairlane out for a 65 galaxie t handle shifter mechanism ? Someone here must be familliar with the galaxie's ?

you can make anything fit anything especially if you have the piece that you want to change from and the piece that you want to change to.
useta work on my girlfriends moms 65/66 auto with the console and took out a Fairlane auto shifter for a 4speed setup so i'm familiar with both but you need to supply more info and maybe pics.
are you talkin about just the handles or the whole shifter?
