well guys the search is over. I gathered all sorts of washboards here and there. Never liking what was coming in. So I pieced together a nice set for my car. The passenger side is a NOS washboard. The Driver side is a used one I got out of Florida. I also had the body shop install the fender ornament for me. The passenger side was all bent up. They put on the NOS one I bought off ebay a couple years ago. All parts were bought off ebay. I waited around for a NOS driver side washboard but just couldn't wait anymore. Well here are the pics what do you think? I think it looks awesome. Really woke that back of the car up. Everyone at the bodyshop loved the car. Pics were taken at the bodyshop parking lot. I have spare washboards and trim pieces. Let me know.

WOW! it looked good before but what a difference= it really looks great! you've got the front off the pavement in a couple of them pics so the backend looks higher but i like it how you got it sittin in the last pic= not too high. is that car as clean up close as it looks in the pics? quote" I also had the body shop install the fender ornament for me."

hahahahaha yeah yeah yeah make fun of me cause I couldn't get the ornament on. I tried but I just didn't have the right tools. Ok it is funny. but hey it's on the car now.
"is that car as clean up close as it looks in the pics?"
no it's not. From far away it looks nice but once you get up close and start a lookin. You'll see scratches here and there small dents and stuff. The paint is all original so......The old lady who owned it put a nice dent in the passenger door. Rubbed up against something. You know how old people are. You can tell in the picture. Look hard you'll see it. One of these days I'll have that fixed. Also see the small dent on the deck lid just below the Mercury
I've got a foxbody mustang I'm spending money on now. Mercury is pretty much all set for now. I'm just driving it around and racing it every now again trying to enjoy it.
