The 62 FINALLY has a date with it's maker, or builder, so to speak. I will be rolling my gasser chassis under the body on the weekend of December 13 & 14. It's been way too long but finding time and the space to do it has been tough. Hopefully all will go well (fingers crossed...) Anyone in the LA and Inland Empire area is welcome to come out and help if you've got the time (CA, paging CA to the white courtesy phone...) Here are a couple of pix for anyone new to my saga... this chassis will meet... this Meteor... in unholy matrimony...er... wedded bliss in a form similar to this AFX Fairlane! Dig those radiused rear wells and the altered wheel base. Yummy. The final numbers look like a 5" shift in the back and 2.5" in the front. BTW, there will be a whole lot of original suspension parts that will need a home (plus some headers and front discs...) stay tuned!

That is so awesome. My son will be excited to see this.
If I still lived in the Inland Empire (as I did from 1988 to 1991), you can bet I'd be there ...

Hey, anyone hear anything out of Jill and their Meteor gasser build? I saw a post on it over at the Hamb but that was a while ago. It looks like I may be swapping the chassis this weekend. I'll take pix.

A four link is a just little too modern for a 60's gasser so I'm going with ladder bars from Competition Engineering and coil overs.
