that is a nice meteor like the color. while i had the motor out of my 63 fairlane for body work and paint i changed from a 4sp to a t5. i kept my old clutch linkage and it has worked well so far but i have only driven on the country road i live on because i have no interior windows or lights. only a bucket seat. i am sure the cable linkage will be a much smoother action with less pressure to operate. i ordered the trans crossmember from darkhorse performance and it was a perfect fit. does a meteor use the crossmember. the problem i have is the shifter handle. i have seen them for mustangs but i think the mustang shifter curves back to the rear further than the fairlane. what do you plan to use or have you planned that far ahead. the mustang handle would be fine for me because i have the all the way to the rear when i drive but my wife is 5"2" and drives with the seat all the way forward and i think she may pass the shifter. i would like to see pictures of your progress. i may try to change mine over sometime in the future.

I'm going to modify a Hurst shifter that I have here because it's longer and it will come up on the bench in a better position. As for the crossmember, I will probably modify it or make my own to suit....The paint on my car is 1995 Mitsubishi Kona blue metallic.

I will get you those measurements tommorow....The shifter appears to be in the perfect spot to fit the hole I already had in the floor from my Indy automatic shifter.

snot that bigga deal really. i've got a chart floatin around in my computer that has all the data but i have no idea what i named the file or what type of file it is. i'ma bringin the Capri to my place this week so i'll be able to measure the T5 stuff that i want from that. i put a T5 in that before my string of surgeries and the shifter came out in the hole made for the original side linkage 4 banger 4 speed. the info i want now is for the Meteor cause i'm goin T5 in that and just doin some figgerin.
