Here's some pictures of my two 1962 Ford Fairlanes and two 1962 Mercury Meteors. The beige 1962 Ford Fairlane is being used for parts for the green 1962 Ford Fairlane. Once the green Fairlane is on the road it will be time to concentrate on my black 1962 Mercury Meteor. I have a pair of southern fenders, a pair of steel foxcraft skirts, and the trunk lid from the blue/white 1962 Mercury Meteor will find its way onto my black Meteor. Here's a quick pic, will add more later: Thanks! Tom - GlassPacks

Welcome to the board 1962 radcliffe - please do post up some pics! Well my little car dealership has downsized! My 1962 Ford Fairlane project car (the blue/green one off the the right hand side of the first picture) was trailered to a friend's autobody shop for some welding to the floor and frame. And I was made an offer on my blue and white 1962 Mercury Meteor. He only wanted the car for the engine, trans, rear end, dash, and steering box-column-wheel for his '27 Ford. So I took everything else that was worth keeping. Here's a picture before he picked it up: So now I make room for all those extra parts! Thanks! Tom - GlassPacks

Oh by the way, where in NY did you get the 4dr? I am curious cause there is another one out there that we tried to snag, but nooooooooooooooo the owner wouldnt let go of it. We have a 62 four door too, but with a 6 cyl engine, what is yours?

Hey Fuggug,
The blue and white Meteor is gone now, the engine was from another Meteor and rebuilt back in 1988. I think I have some pictures of the engine on my camera, just have to figure out how to download them from the camera's internal memory. The beige 1962 Ford Fairlane came from Buffalo, NY (a small garage off of Sterling Ave) back in October 2007. I found it on craigslist when the owner was going to dismantle it and before that it was listed and sold on eBay, but the buyer backed out.
Thanks! Tom - GlassPacks

Ahh I see. Well I asked cause there is one exactly like it just outside of Oswego, NY but the guy wont let it go. It is now in rough shape and the last time we saw it, he had the engine out of it. Well our engine is out now and the valve cover was originally silver and the block was originally black. That answers most of our questions, now we need to find out why the pics show an orange fan. Hmmmm. The fan at the moment is black but might have been replaced at one time before we got the car.
The only thing we need now is one horn, dont know if it is the upper or lower one that doesnt work, or maybe it needs a relay. And the other thing we need is a drivers side mirror. Ours is the square/rectangular one.
Thanks for our reply.
