The verdict - 357HP @ 5700rpm, 378ftlbs of torque at 3500rpm. It made 361HP with a $1700 stock car carb owned by R&D - it was only 600cfm!!!....Mine is a 750cfm and it made 357hp....An intake swap and some carb tinkering to come. The valve covers are not baffled so that is where the oil is getting out and on to the headers....They will be replaced this winter....Over all it was an awesome-educational day - Danny and Bruce know there shit. It fired right up with a known good carb (the 600). We had some small issues with my carb which Danny worked out and there were a two minor water and oil leaks I need to correct. We broke the cam in for a 1/2 hour at 2000rpm and made one pull to 6000rpm before we cut open the oil filter for a peek - all clear so we put on a new Ford filter and made 5 more pulls....The carb is jetter 78 on the front and 84 on the rear. We used Joe Gibbs break in oil at $9.95 per litre....LOL...Over-all I'm quite pleased, it ran strong, no big issues and I didn't bring it home in a doggy bag.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzBXczQ9P-owww.youtube.com/watch?v=QxCQXUwy60Q

Congrads Stu! Sounds very, very healthy, idles down nice too, wish mine idled like that! I thought it would be makin more top end power , We did find ,on the last few runs,(#8,9) mine upped power by 15-20hp, only changes we made were a deep (7qt) oil pan & windage tray. ps - according to the chassis dyno we lost 25% power to the driveline! Steve, the dyno guy says the mech.fan is the biggest culprit,

I'm changing the intake to the Performer RPM (I already found a used one - I'm waiting to hear back from the seller) and I'm also going to do some carb tinkering with the rear power valve....I will switch to synthetic oil once the engine is broken in for about 1000km....I want to see 300RWHP so I will also run synthic ATF in the T5 and syn 75-90 in the rear axle.

Your new mill in a car yet? Once we put the motor in & attached a full exhaust system, a Clatter, clatter reared its ugly head, the dyno boys say that this kinda thing doesn;t always show up, until you put mufflers on a new motor. The general concenus is its piston slap.(forged internals) & it does go away once the little stroker gets to op.temp. but, i don;t like it one bit & seems to be coming from the top end. The builder did come all the way to the house, switched out the Comp. rollers, which have been running on my old 302 for about 4 years, for new pro-comps. (no charge). But, even tho it seems to be less clatter, its still there! Still, does go away at op.temp, but, at cruise i can here it faintly, a slight "diesel like" noise. That said, it pulls like crazy to 6500rpm & is still pulling, i figure if it was serious it woulda let go by now! I guess i;ve complained enough that builder has agreed, if i deliver it, they will pull the top end at least & check out the roller rockers, roller cam, spider ,etc I swear its comin from pass.side rear cylinders.
