I was thinking about headers for my Meteor and wondered if anyone has a favorite brand for both fit and performance. I have decided to go with a mild 289 build and am starting to create a parts list.
Thanks Jim

Hooker 6134's are a fit. Two other manufacturers have headers specific to the 62/63 Meteor/62/65 Fairlane platform too.

Try Ford Performance products, i hear they make a nice set The hooker 6134;s are a fit but, an absoulte pain in the ass to fit, if you ever want to change plugs, probably the worst i;ve ever expierenced. I think its Ford Performance, i will check for you but, they make a set that fits really well, u can change plugs in 10 minutes, not a week.(slight exageration). so, do check around, before springing for the hookers, i will ask Glenn what he;s using in his 63,

If your not worried about Factory correct, with a shock tower notch kit such as one like RRS offers, once you;ve done this mod a whole world of headers are available. i.e- Sourced long tube headers from Hedman (#88308's spec;d for a 70 up Maverick with a sm.block) on sale for $169.00 that took all of 15 minutes to bolt up & plug changes are a breeze!
