Its a Christmas miracle! I woke up and found out that I have been approved to register on the Merc site! (thanks to whomever did that) Anyways I am a new owner of a 63 s-33. Found one local to me. Ive seen it in my town for years and lucked out and was there at the right time and even more lucky I had some money too. Its a little rough but no rust. I really lucked out and stop by one of the last wrecking yards here that has old cars and he ended up having one 63 custom in his yard. Picked up a cherry grill, hood, and decent bumper. Right now Im in the middle of installing a 289 with c-4. Old 260 and mercomatic is out so Im in the processs of detailing the engine bay. Hoping to get her on the road soon.

Congrats, you failed to say where "here" is. I am in central California & probably have most parts you need. If you replaced grille, etc, I have perfect fenders & much more (2 near complete rust free running parts cars). I prefer direct emails to doberdawg@comcast.net

I have no idea where to post/ask my Q even after studying the site: ... If somebody has a trukly NEW topic, how do they get a separate heading for it? Specifically, I have 2 63 S33's & am considering purchasing a 1956 Merc. It seems this site is primarily 62 - 63 Meteors - correct??? I would like to find posts regarding older mercs such as 1956. So, where, how, etc. Also I have attempted to begin a topic under the heading Meteor interior but always have to "fit it in" some other heading. Are we ONLY a Meteor site? Our title is not crazyformeteors.com If this gets answered, I am not sure where to look for the answer either wo, please ...doberdawg@comcast.net

.....Doberdawg..if you are looking for parts or a blog try Mercuryland.com, they are a site for full size mercs, but I thought I read somewhere that they may be shutting down & selling off their inventory, don't know for sure if this will help.......

Dober, as far as a new posting goes. Just go to the General part of this forum and select what part you want to post in. ie Lounge, or Tech, etc. Then from there just go over to the upper right and youll see "new thread". Click that and you can post a new thread...
From what I gather the main site (which was a website that had info on a bunch of meteor stuff) is no longer up. But what is still going is this forum which was a part of the main site. This forum is ran by proboards which the main site used for its forum, thats why it has a different name.
I believe that mainly the main site was just for the 61-63 Meteors only.(i could be wrong on that )
Ive read a bunch of old posts and all I have read pertains to mainly 62-63 Meteors.
Anyways hope that helps you out.

This site has to do with the 62-63 Meteors that were based on the 62-65 Fairlane bodies. Meteors before those years were full size platforms.
