Hello all, I am very seriously considering buying a 92 fox body GT5.0 to use as a doner vehicle. the price is just right and the 260 and mercomatic need alot of love. An injected 302 with a 5 speed is just to irisistable. I am going to start by converting to a mustang 2 style front end. I think coilovers will suit the car. I am looking at many maufacturers and I like the SSBC brake packages. Tubular A-arms. I am sure there are so many hiccups that can occur. This car is pretty rusty so I have been building a back half reinforcment and will be adding sub frame connectors. I will likely sell my motor: 260, .30 over, comp cam, decked cast heads, 289 cast exaust. with a carb it should fire right up. Any and all comments or advise would be killer. Rusty

Here are a few specific questions:
For a mustang II style x-member, what thickness should the steel be?
What is the center spacing of the lower control arm mounting holes?
Are the holes equally spaced fore and aft relative to the width of the car?
Are the holes sloped or are the level relative to the length of the frame?
I have a 3' by 5' sheet of 3/16 hot rolled steel and acess to a plasma cutter. I'm thinking of making my own x-member from scratch.
