Hey guys, got my 62 merc dialed in, but the suspension is shot. I found replacement lower ball joints, sway bar bushings, and the idler arm ones. I just cant find the lower control arms bushings!!!
If anyone has a new old stock set lying around or can point me the right way i would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Are you looking for all the bushings? You might try searching on this forum. Back a couple years ago this site was more active. Meteorgirl had posted numerous part numbers awhile back. You can also try googling rare parts. They are spendy but will probably have what your looking for. As far as any anti harsh stuff...... good luck trying to find any of that stuff. (thats why I was asking if you need all the bushings)
Actually here you go( I just found my parts box) Rare Parts Steering and Suspension Diamond Series 15173-2i19 Control Arm Bushing Not sure where this bushing goes exactly so... Hope that helps

uses the same bushings as the Fairlane but "IF" i remember right you need to take one of the washers off the side of the Fairlane piece to make it right. there will be more info in this section if you look through it, BUTT it's not a hard thing to figger out.

thanks jeephawk, actually that part number is for the lower front control bushing, which i just ordered today because after i did the following work, the car still swerved. So far I have replaced
Idler Arm Bushings (2) Tie rod end sleeves Upper and Lover ball joints lower control arm bushings (I made these myself out of shore 80a urethane)
the part number you gave me was for the gentle ride front of the lower control arm, hopefully after replacing this, it will keep my car from swerving all over the place.
ca: you are right on the money, sad part is that after this "upgrade" i cant seem to get the search function to work, but i know exactly what you are talking about. Unfortunately i found this out after the bushings I made had cured.

Hey thanks for the info now I know where it goes. Lol I got the parts from previous owner so I never knew exactly where it went.... Mine is driving pretty decent before I tore it apart( bodywork/paint) All is left is to fix the power steering leak that looks like it'll be a pain in the butt to overhaul.... If I keep the car a long time then I might do a mustang 2 front end but right now I'm so deep into I just want to get it back together and have fun with it this year

Be nice if users would post their locations. I have a complete 62 Meteor with 40K garaged miles. I bought it for it's perfect bumpers & more for an S33. The entire front end (& rest of car) is like new. if you live close enough to Central California to bother, contact me. I don't do labor (I do, but nobody can afford me).
