Does anyone have information about a source for a Power Brake System that will adapt to/fit in a 63 Meteor with 67 Mustang disc/drum system? Clearances for shock tower is a primary concern. Engine is '89 5.0 with 4v intake/Carb, and 71 Torino C4, original column shift. I measured from center of MC mount, and it would be about 6" to the wiper motor (against the firewall). Most vendors don't provide sizes for the boosters. Thayne Louden

On my Meteor I installed a Geo Storm power brake system including the proportioning valve. Car uses a 68 Fairlane disc/drum system. Somewhere on the site are the pictures and the installation procedure. System works well

Thanks, Arie. I was concerned that maybe the Geo system may not be adequate for the larger Meteor. Next thing will be to locate a Geo system, and the info needed to do the install.

Check on a in the 90s Suzuki it may have that small P/B. I still have a write up for using the system on a Falcon and I based my installation on that info.

Is the dimension the same firewall to shock tower for Meteor & Fairlane? To get power brakes to fit, I used a booster form a Mustang 11, along with the MC from a late 90;s Mustang GT, overall from firewall to tip of MC is- 12" leaving about 1/2" to tower. With wildwood 4 piston fronts & Curries Explorer style rear discs the ol girl stops as well or better than any late model. The MC off the Mustang GT (97 I think)is for 4 wheel disc, but, this style of MC, aluminum/ plastic resovoir are on all kinds of Ford products, some with 4 wheel disc, some with front disc/rear drums

Arie: Can you detail what you needed to do to modify the firewall for the Geo system? I understand that there needs to be some modification that may or may not include cutting the firewall for correct positioning. Any details will be appreciated.

Arie:
No need to send the instructions - I found them on-line. Very thorough instructions, including pictures. Only difference is they apply to the Falcon. Author is Mark Dinzebach, a gentleman I know from my Falcon membership.

We put together than Geo kit, using Aries instructions, before we really got into testing it out, he got rear ended, totallying the F'lane Rear ended! The brakes worked well, to well! I still have the bracket, booster/etc, parts to install the Geo stuff, depending on where you are for shipping tho.

Roy:
Thanks. I have a complete set-up ordered and on the way. Once it's up and running, I'll post about the install. May be a while - a friend will do the work at his convenience. I'm not physically able to do it myself, and he has more talent for this sort of project.
