Hey everyone. alot of you answered questions for me regarding front disc kits. Wanted to tell everyone that the front disc kit for Scarebird worked great.
--i tried to use my original drum hub and have it reworked to fit discs and after many tries it just didnt fit right so i banged out the cash and got the modified hub that Scarebird sells that specifically fits 62-65 fairlanes and meteors. and it was PERFECT.
--also bought the special caliper mount for 62 fairlanes.
--slapped on the 1990 prius rotors and 1986 chevy celebrity calipers they told me to get and it could not have gone better.
just wanted folks to know that the modified hub they sell is a game changer....made everything perfect.

the modified hub was 165 for 2 of them. they fit perfect. races already installed and used my old wheel bearings. the caliper holder was 85 bucks for the pair.
celebrity calipers were cheap..maybe 25 bucks and rotor for previa was 20 bucks.

So about $250 TOTAL?? "celebrity" calipers? Not familiar with Celebrity, could you provide make (Chev, honda ) & year. This sounds like a good affordable way to go. What master cylinder did you use, & how about a proportioning valve? thanxxxx
