Hey CA, I'm still around lurking in the back ground like I always do glad to see you back active again buddy. View AttachmentRrrrramon, we are going to have to get together for a BBQ at a park or beer/soda sometime. Too long since I've seen you. I need to get the Merc straightened out so it will take a while. Haven't driven it in over a year. When I was laid up The Kid had some of her friends "fix" a few things, over the past few years. Now I have to redo my electric fan setup, need to fix the radiator, need to fix the power steering system...again, need to rewire my electronic ignition and replace the "leaky" coil, need to flush the brake system, need to reinstall the CD player= not sure what happened with that, but it's laying on the floorboards, need to fix the giant hole in the seat- drivers side. I've had the heater box out for over 5 years to put the new core in, but haven't been able to do it. I need to find at least 2 new WW tires, and it's hard to find a good lookin 14" WW tire these days, without spending 175 bucks each. How's that blue one doing? Any changes since the last time at Knott's? I shouldn't be talkin about this stuff... I'm supposed to stay calm and relaxed now

CA, we do need to hook up it's been a while. The smurfmobile is still the same needs a break job bad but still running good. One of these days I plan on taking it apart and redoing some things but its hard to take a perfectly good car and tear it apart. I"m still the only Meteor I see when I do drive it around which was the main reason I got it. Let me know when you're ready for another FFF I have not been since the last time you went.

Monchito.... Any thoughts on going to the Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion in Ontario? It's about halfway between me and you. I haven't been to it but my nephews have been and they say it a great time. It's September 18 through the 20th and it costs 60 bucks. I'm thinkin of going this year because there is no more Route 66 show and cruise in Berdoo. I'll post a link in another thread....

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, huh!? Not a whole lot to talk about as I'm tryin to recover from the flu or something that's been tryin to kill me for the past week and a half+. Looks like everybody has more important things to do than talk about Meteors. That's no fun! There's a Facebook page that gets a little action, but that stuff is hard to keep up with= can't find my place after a day or two. A lot of questions and the answers are in these pages if they would bother to look. Too much trouble I guess.

I've been busy with some wood-butchering for the grade schoolers. I make little goodies they can paint up and take home. Christmas it is wooden snowmen they paint up and then assemble. Easter is bunnies. Now the ESL class has been doing a science thingie on fish and the teacher asked if I could come up with something. Sooooo, I got the idea of making up some fishies on little stands that they can decorate then when they are dried, they can pull them off the stands and they will tile together on a table. A tessellation like Mr Escher was fond of doing. One row faces one way and the next row faces the opposite and they all interlock. Should look really cool!
Just bought an Accel distributor from rockauto.com to replace my old Mallory magnetic so I can have a vacuum advance instead of mechanical only. Same distributor sells from 230 on amazon to full retail on some of the other speed sites at around 400+. Rockauto has it for 137 bucks. Should be able to sell the Mallory for 150. Got it running good and cleaning up the wiring now so it should be back on the road by Friday latest. Would like to blaze on over to T&T at the track then.

Working with kids sounds like fun, especially doing Christmas stuff. I'm STILL sick with something. Trying to remember how I wired my fan setup originally. Daughter had some friends "help" with an overheating problem one day and they rewired it. I had wired to the low side side with the high side bypassed. They wired in the high side and the low side together and didn't wire in my diode- It looks like anyway. Runs at about half speed of low now. The thing draws so many amps I'm surprised it hasn't melted or burn something, 'cause they ran through the stock wiring. I just love when "experts" have redone my work. My heads too thick right now with the flu and meds combo, to straighten it out.
Rockauto has some pretty good prices on things. I searched for some SS valves for the 221 by size, with 221 stem dia./length and HP 289 head dia.. Found them at Rockauto for about half price of normal SBF prices.
