Anyone have a spare radio laying around? Let me know. Thanks If doberdog can't get you fixed up, you can usually find one on ebay. It goes in streaks though= you won't see any for weeks, then 2 to 5 pop up and the prices are generally 20 to 50 bucks depending on chrome condition. Don't jump on a high dollar one just because it works. Pretty sure all of the 1962 radios were tube type and the '63 went to transistors, please anyone correct me if wrong on this. My 62 tube type worked fine for a few months after I bought the car, then one day it just quit. I haven't bothered to take it out to fix yet because I put a CD/radio in and mounted it under the dash. Almost everybody does it that way, it seems. I THINK that all Meteor radios had chrome knobs and push buttons, you'll find ones with white or black knobs/buttons but don't think that they are correct. Somebody correct me on this too please BUT ONLY if you are SURE I'm wrong. Would like to hear from Arie on this one, maybe Rob and W2ZERO would know on this stuff as well. Anybody remember walkin into Thrifty Drug Stores and right inside the entrance there would always be a D.I.Y. tube tester with tubes in the case below it??? The town where I live had one in place till about 15/20 years ago.

White knobs & buttons on Falcons 60 - 63 I think. Black on Fairlanes ( seems like 64's Falcons too??).
1962, 63 Meteors chrome. I was not aware that 63 was intro year for transistors??? My 62 radios, falcon & meteor look same as my 63's (from memory).
