DRIVING THE METEOR ON THE WAY HOME FROM GOLFING THIS MORNING THE HARMONIC BALANCER SEPERATED AT ABOUT 55 MILES PER HOUR. BROKE THE TIMING GEAR COVER AND WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE AM TOO P#$%^&^%D TO CHECK IT OUT FOR NOW.

Bad luck on this one. You've had a couple days to settle down, so what's the verdict on damage?

Timing gear cover ,balancer had to be replaced and have to repair the rad. Rad was hit by whatever nothing major on it. I was able to get a timing cover from a friend and the balancer came from CARQUEST. Had the car running and the rad should be back today. The old bones are complaining but at least the car will be mobile again.

Glad you got it back together. I had a customer come in with a 70 Bronco recently and the outer ring of the balancer was spinning against the Timing cover and almost wore thru it. I told him...it's time for a new balancer buddy. Runs a heck of alot smoother now too!
