I have a rebuilt 89' 302 in my 62 Meteor. I have had the 2 row stock radiator recored to 3 rows. I also have a Flow Kooler water pump.
For a long trip, like driving 6 hours south to Los Angeles, should i install an oil cooler? Have never driven it more than 30 minutes at a time so no symptoms. Just wondering aloud at a few modification i should consider making before my trip.
would love some opinions.
also air cooled versus coolant cooled? (the air cooled kit for the 89' 302 looks really easy to install on youtube)

I put one on my '62 a few months back, because I'm planning to install an AC unit one of the days/weeks/months/years. Wanted it for extra insurance against the extra heat here in SoCal. Not that expensive for the peace of mind, plus it's easy enough. Mines air cooled. I didn't want the oil heating the water or the other way around.
