It looks like an excellent combination!
I don't know what it'll run ... but it will be fun to find out, won't it?
What rear tires are you going to use?

I orderd a set of 235 60 15 drag radials and a new set of aluminum star wheels to wrap em around. with the new suspension ill be breakin axles in no time... I put the rear end together today, once i break the gears in tomorrow its test time.. im gonna race my buddies 96 cobra with gears and a few bolt ons. i think ill smoke him...

If you so desire, you can get hold of Jack at www.andale.com/stores/sf_home.jsp?mode=1&sfUrl=maeracing and have him build you a much better 8" for your car or if you want to step up to a nine inch, he can get you a really sweet deal on a 9" locker. If you go nine then you can go 31 spline.

well, i raced my friends 96 cobra... the mercury spun the wheels all of first and most of second gear, then finally caught some traction in the 1/8 mile range.. held him off by a half a car length from the start, and he jumped the line. afterwards, i get home and found out my secondaries werent opening but 1/8 of an inch.. hahaha
i guess thats not too bad, she beat a 330hp 5spd car with 295 drag radials on a 100k mile bone stock longblock a little past half throttle with bald 235's.. i should be able to play with him pretty good when the heads and cam go on the motor in the next few weeks

Then this will really piss him off......... Your car is lighter than his! Plus, automatics can generally be faster than stick.
