Kinda what I noticed too CA....H or X pipe is needed for balance and performance....It helps the bottom end torque a little too....My duals are much the same less the cut-outs. Mine are 2.5" pipe throughout with Dynomax race bullet mufflers and 3" chrome tips at the rear....I have an H pipe as well.

I had an H in there before. I didn't want to go too far back with it. Isn't it best closer up? Maybe I should've had it put in BEFORE the cut-outs. I can always go back. I looked at the pix again and it looks like there's room before the cutouts for sure. Maybe next payday.

I would, it will make the car sound better as well....Shouldn't cost more than $30 to get it put in.

Attended the "Devil's Run" Fri, Sat & Sun in Devil's Lake ND. Drove all weekend with the caps off my cutouts. TOO COOL. Pulled up behind a Police car at a stop sign, he looked in his mirror and then just turned off down a side street. Didn't abuse the priveledge and I don't think any of the other open header cars did either. Great weekend, 850 cars registered by Saturday afternoon and climbing. Yes, it was the only 62/63 Meteor there. There were about 12 other Meteors but they were between 1949 & 1969 mostly down from Canada.
