Okay I picked up a 92 crown vic with a blown motor for 100.00 ! It's got a disk break rear end 8.8 open. The car has ABS is this something I should be concerned about ? I don't care if I have this feature on my meteor. I read somewhere to use 2 drivers side e brake cables to use the ebrake does this sound right ? I think I scored pretty good on this one - now I gotta cut it out !

I'm gonna try 2 drivers side rear axel shafts from a bronco 2 and cut the crown vic axel tubes down, this was talked about in an earlier thread. Anyone know if I'm gonna have any problems with the factory abs system ? I just want to eliminate it -I'm thinkin it's probably no big deal ?

That pretty much covers it. Regarding the two Explorer ebrake cables, I did that but I am using the explorer/F150 rear discs too. Not sure if the Crown Vic backing plates are the same.

Yers, cut the axles, I never thought of that! I must tell the Turbo guy, maybe he will do up a diagram for us!

With 31sp axles, you have to look under Pickups, Explorers, Expeditions, etc. or buy them custom. Unless you plan on a whole lotta hp, 28sp are fine. The track lock carriers are cheap and available.
