Along with more HP comes more heat. I see at Rock Auto a new Radiator for the V8 Meteor. I wonder if it will hold up to a 250 or 300 hp application? I currntly hung a 65 mustang 3 core on cutom brkts in the existing holes. It fits pretty well, and cools well, yet I only could run my direct 4 blade fan due to the xtra core and the top radiator neck. My idea for a foolproof h/p cooling sys. would be a high output waterpump, 160 deg. stat., stock Meteor radiator(new), a 15" flex fan(or viscous fan) with a clutch. I also have to cool an FMX trans.

Nice setup. Should be good for the hp involved. I had my 2row rad rebuilt with three rows and added a trans cooler. The cooler came from a large Ford truck and was built for Ford by Lane of Canada. Incidentally they build the B&M coolers too. I have a 180 stat and a late model pressure cap with a small recovery tank, twin Scirocco fans and it doesn't overheat. There is an adjustable temp switch on the fans too.

you guys ever try an oil cooler before, here in socal when its 110 degrees in the summer n you decide you want ta go for a little drive ta VEGAS n its bout 120 degrees in the desert a little 10"by12" oil cooler mounted in the front will keep ya below 210 dgrees goin uphill with the AIR ON. and you should always run a trans cooler, you can make one outta old parts thats better than runnin thru the radiator

A/C? In a Meteor? That's got to be one rare sight.
