I ran my trans out of oil, burnt up the drive shaft yoke, and rear bushing. I had all that fixed and it was fine for about 30 miles, then I started to get a vibration again. I don't know what els I can do for it, maybe replace the rear tail on the trans. It wasn't out of oil very long and I usually drove short distances. Maybe I need a new transmission. I'm also in Michigan, and anything old is long gone.

I think you need to find another transmission.

Well the trans didn't completely run out of oil but it got low enough that the tailshaft got smoked. The new rear bushing fit loosly so it was dented so it would stay. I think if I replace the tailshaft. Another new busing and seal, it might work out. The gears are still nice and quiet and it shifts really nice.
