Now the discussion is getting interesting AND informative. Ohhh...My California 62 Meteor with 40K garaged miles came new with amber, not white. Only my 61 Ranchero has clear. I always wondered why some had white & some amber. It seems that I remember most early to mid 60 cars sometimes having clear & sometimes white...

Maybe Canadian rules differed from USA, i don;t know but i have a couple of all original Fairlanes 62, 63 & both have clear lenses with original Ford Logo.

My 1962 Mercury Meteor was built out of Kansas and was imported from Indiana to Canada in 2002. As for my 1962 Ford Fairlane parts car, I bought it out of Buffalo, NY. The other '62 Fairlane and '62 Meteor were built out of Oakville, ON. So maybe it's not about where it was produced, but maybe about early production or late production.
