I'd rather just use the arms available and fine tune the initial timing to match. I think according to the carbed ford forum, the vacum could acctually increase your advance past the stops if the car is in neutral because the force is acting I believe on the arm and the vacum is high. what do you guys think of using OEM type cap and rotor for my duraspark distributor??? Or do I need a higher performance one?? I am using MSD Blatster SS ignigtion coil Taylor wires and OEM type module.

either way as long as you don't have any spark jump issues(which you won't at the HP level yur gonna be at), i'm usin the old small style now but i do have a new wide style in the box thats been sittin for a couple years.you won't notice any difference in either one.
