CA - have you forgotten these headers were built for 302 and now they are on a 351W that is 2" wider at the heads. If I can find some header tubing locally I will have to bring in some bends from a local speed shop. I should have these all bolted to the car this week, they miay not be done if my tubing has to be ordered....Here is my engine combo:
fresh 351W bored .030 over (357cid) .010/.010 stock crankshaft stock rods, ARP HP rod bolts Speed Pro forged aluminum pistons (9:1 comp) Ford racing GT40X aluminum heads, 1.94/1.54 valves ARP head bolts and main studs Comp Cams 280H flat tappet camshaft, .512 lift, 230 duration Brand new Weiand Stealth dual plane intake 750 Holley DP carb, 4 corner idle. Edelbrock dual idler gear drive timing set stock oil pump with an ARP pump shaft windage tray (not installed yet) Stock duraspark distributor, Mallory Hyfire 6AL igniton FRPP 9mm wires Never fired since I built it about 2-3yrs ago.
Should be 400HP or close to that.

yeah, forgot that the width was that much. i was thinkin an inch. even then things would be quite a bit different.
why the flat tappet with all the roller stuff out there? gonna be a sweet runnin engine either way!

It's not a roller block, E4 casting....Got a line on a custom made set of headers that were built for a 64 fairlane with a 351W....Full length, it stock shock towers and they are ceramic coated.....Local too - the guy called me this afternoon....Murphy strikes again! He wants to see my parts pile for trades.

I used the red, gonna get into it right now If those headers are for a 351W into a F'lane, thats a score! I saw a set like those at a local swap meet, guy wanted $600.00 for them, and they sold. If they don;t come through for you, i have a set of headers, for a 351 into an early Stang, don;t know if they would work or not, but they;re brand new & they won;t clear my rack & pinion, at least not as close as the Hedman's i have.

The super comps are going to fit, from what I can see I only need to modify 2 pipes on the drivers side....Once I get them cut out and bolted to the engine I can see what bends I'll need to order....So far so go.

Good job on modifying the headers!

I'm going to start the drivers side in the next couple of days, once both sides are mounted to the engine I can order what is needed to repair the cut tubes...Then the focus will be getting it fired up to break the engine in.

what you are looking for is corrugated metal hose. No, not something that Marylin Manson would wear. It should do the trick. d**n but the bing search in w7 is handy!

we can get the flexible exhaust pipe here in California at Autozone. don't know why cause i'm pretty sure it's still illegal to use on the street. they have a couple sizes and would be good for mockup. it's pretty stiff so would hold it's shape but if i remember right it's pretty tuff to cut unless you have a good selection of cuttin tools.

Only prob with the flexpipe was that it didn't necessarily hold the tightest bend you put in it. But, for your app, you could reach in there and put a few tack welds on it to hold the shape.
