d**n! My first hot rod, 37 or more likely a 38?? Ford 2 door coach, beautiful! what a find. The mighty flathead, mine had the key in the steering colomn, & i had one hellofa time drilling it out as it came with no key. Once we got power to the motor, (she hadn;t run in 12 yrs), put a hose from a barrel of gas to the carb & 15 minutes later she was running! I drove that car through hi-school, never let me down & i never put a wrench to that Flathead, traded her for a Fender precison bass & a bass amp! I know, kick me! If you want to part with her, do let me know,eh I STILL have 2 brand new, never installed 38 front fenders. Actually, that must be a 39, is it or NO, its a 37!, been a long time, its got the best headlights, mine had the chrome surround, those are much better looking.

37! Mine was a 38, grille not pretty as the 37;s & if i recall mine had , 40 like headlights, chrome surround. The 37;s headlights, glass is just beautiful.
I would love - install the new coyote 5.0, modern suspension & leave the body exactly as is! Got it running, do let us know how you proceed.

Yea, leave it like it is Its earily resembles my 38, which had the same patina, i did drop a 48 Merc flathead in her with 4 single stromergs, which, i could never get tuned right. But, with a single 4 barrel, the old girl would go all day, cruising with Marty & Jack in their 40 Ford sedan w/283 in it. Jack was much smarter than I, he;s still driving the 40. Are u in Canada? If you do decide to part with it, do let us know,eh

Making progress, haven;t seen the insides of a Flatty, for years! You know, they make a trans.adapter now, to mate a ford OD to a flatty, nice little street combo. glad your keeping that motor, there are certainly allot of speed parts around & it seems, more coming to the market every year. Great stuff!
