Pull the two wires off the brake light switch on the master cylinder and put them together, you should have brake lights. If so, the switch is bad. Nine bucks at the parts store and they are a common part. Same one for Fairlanes thru 64. If still no brake lights, check the fuse block on the headlight switch........ Yeah, way stupid place to put a fuse block. Sometimes the fuse is blown, loose or the bayonet clips are loose in the block. Sometimes if the block is shorted, you will lose the brake lights, turn signals and the interior light. Twist the headlight switch and see if the interior light comes on for reassurance if it is intermittent. Check for grounds at the taillamps etc if not the other things after checking the bulbs.

Brake lights are good to go now.... Bought the new switch today and it was 4.99 at O'Reilys can't beat that price! My five year old and I went for a little drive tonight and he loved it. Got a few looks and nods.......

Beautiful Meteor! what a great car to keep stock & enjoy or, grab the new full frame from Allison chassis works, it comes with corvette C-6 suspension bits, an all aluminum 351 with twin turbos, a 6 speed & then, oh sorry, just dreaming

Yes I will be keeping it stock at least for now the only thing I would like to do is some engine work when the funds are there..... Now just waiting for the Seattle weather to change so it's car show time and weekly meets at the local shopping center. My five yr old keeps asking when we can take out the white flat car...lol
