By the way, if anyone doesn't have one and wants the old stock one with the mounts AND the poly urethane stablink kits, give me 20.00 for my investment in the link kits and pay the freight from Canada and it's yours.

I bought this kit and I haven't got the rear one in yet. It won't install under the springs as it is to wide. I rebent and added new brake lines so I can install the bar on top. Haven't got it in yet, but I think I can make it work.

I though my old spagehtti bar away as it's useless as a sway bar. The car rolled like crazy on the turns, but the 1" front bar really helps the sway immensely. I would like to fit the rear one as I paid for it, might as well use it.

I will take some and post them. I wouldn't want anyone to think I was putting imaginary parts on my imaginary car.

Quickor used to be a very good outfit but then the original folks retired and the company went kaput. The later service sucked. I bought my front lowered springs from the original owner. The bars from 62 through 65 should be the same.

I leaned under the front and took some pix last night. I'll try and post them tonight. We jacked up the back end and slid under to trial fit the rear bar. It appears that it will fit perfectly along the bottom of the axle tubes with the ends going forward between the diff U-bolts and the bottom of the shocks. There MAY be a small issue that will require the small L brackets to come out farther from the frame but it will be close. We have to wait to get it on a drive on hoist as you need to do the work with the weight on the wheels.

I agree Meteorgirl.
The small L brackets needing help.
1st, they are one inch angle iron. I dont think this is going to handle much in the way of lbs of force as the car starts to lean. I have fit ht abr up but have not welded the brackets on as of yet. I am waiting on my brain to think of a better way to rienforce the L bracket.
I did not need to rebend anything to fit the bar to the axle tubes.
And I am learning to weld with the wire feed welder still.

You could just put your jack stands underneath the axles couldnt you?? as long as its not in the way of putting on the sway bar. That way it is in the ait, but the weight acts like its sitting on thetire right?

you could do that and try to get the front up as well just to make sure you have approx. the balance you want. i have two sets of ramps for that - you know the things they sell like at Kragen. sure makes it easy for under the car work

Actually we had it on stands and then had to relocate them in between the tire and the u-bolts to clear the bar. We could definetly do it up on 4 stands, I was just hoping to do it standing up because of the drilling etc and constant checking of side to side clearance. A friend has a drive on except he's on holidays for a couple of weeks. I worded this answer carefully so as not to say I didn't like working laying down because CA would've jumped all over that one.

Running the front & rear Quick Or sway bars The rear mounts easier over the diff. But, i wanted it to be seen under the rear so just used their optional bigger brackets for the Galaxie The rear bar is a bit to aggressive, meaning the car will stay dead flat to a fault when the tires do break loose, you get no warning at all, your watching the sceneary go by round & round!! If your going to use a 1" rear bar, better get adjustable end links to take some of the stiffeness out, it just works too good! I can send pics, never tried to post em
