Brent took a look at those shots and thinks that we should go ahead and do it. We both feel that it would be way better in the long run. Who knows, maybe putting a cleveland in later on will be that much easier! Thanks again for those shots that was a huge help!

Wow! I gotta believe that your motor mounts are sagged down or something. We put my 6134's on my 302 with the car on a hoist and the entire thing didn't take an hour. YES, the plugs are a bitch to get at, but I can get them all in and out without loosening the headers. We didn't have to even ding any of the header tubes. Yes, the panit got scratched off the headers in a few places (shoulda got ceramic) but we didn't have to cut or whack them at all. Was the car maybe in an accident once?

Indeed, a torque strap can be most handy for the drags. Here's the one I made. I still have to make another reciever for the top of it on the inner fender to stow it for cruising.

Yes I do nice work. That's why they used to charge big bucks to send me off to BF Ethanopia to fix whut's broke. They was motivated to let me break all the rules to get the job done too. Well, all except overstay my visa.
I'm not happy with the quick pin on that limiter though. Gotta make it simpler. And attach it to the limiter so it can't get lost.......cuz it will.

We checked the mounts and all seems to be in good shape. I don't have any thing to compare with off hand though. That was one of the first things we thought of too. What kind of mounts are you using Meteorgirl? The previous owner might have rigged something himself and the mounts I've got may be wrong. Who knows?

That's right. I'm just using the stock mounts for a 63 with the 7"spacing. I forgot about that post I made, it actually has 2 pictures of the underside of the car and you can get an idea of the mount, pan & header clearance. Thanks for remembering CA.
